         My topic is called Attack on Civil Liberties of Americans. There were many ways that the civil liberties of Americans were attacked. For example,the Red Scare. The Red 

Scare came about between 1919 to 1920. In the Red Scare tons of people's civil liberties were attacked. There were communists who were trying to influence workers to overthrow their oppressors. Which is not what should be going on. A communist society wouldn't have been very great for the U.S. as a nation to have progress. The reason why is because as a communist society our nation would be led by the Government. With all due respect the Government cannot handle that big of a Job forever neither can the president. That's the whole reason why they are elected for 4 years max unless of course re-election.
         The reason why this whole event was named the Red Scare was because this was a threat to all immigrants. They were all afraid and Red was because the people that practiced communism were called the Reds and I believe had an army named Reds. The U.S. had put Attorney General A. Mitchell Palmer in charge of gathering Radicals. Due to suspicion General Palmer captured and brought in Sacco and Vanzetti. They were immigrants so, he felt that they were the Radicals in charge. However they were really innocent. Sacco and Vanzetti were put into jail and had any right and civilized liberty stripped without their consent. Their sentence was execution. Two innocent immigrants were killed due to suspicion. This was the Red Scare. Only the beginning of a world led by Communists. The Red Scare soon ended a year later due to political cartoons that ridiculed its existence.

       This poster is connected to my topic. How it is connected to my topic is because the Americans whose civil liberties were attacked had their freedom automatically stripped from them by the U.S. Government without their consent. Hence the words FREEDOM IS IN PERIL. The Americans who were wrongfully attacked didn't have enough support from the other Americans. Many were too scared of what the government might do to them. We as a nation should've stood up for one another. We as a nation shouldn't have let the government disrespect our own people. We should and we shall DEFEND OUR FREEDOM WITH ALL OUR MIGHT!

World War 1

           There are four main causes of the Civil War. Each cause played a huge role in the making of World War 1. One cause of World War 1 was Nationalism. Nationalism occurs when a country's people were engulfed with loads of pride for their country allowing their country to become even stronger than usual. Another cause of World War 1 is Militarism. Militarism occurs when a country thrives to build an even bigger army than the one it has currently formed, for an unknown satisfaction. Another cause of World War 1 was  System of Alliances. The System of Alliances became both a cause and a problem because there were few nations that formed alliances behind closed doors and thought of ways to take down the opposing nation. The last cause of World War 1 was Imperialism. Imperialism occurs when a nation takes over colonies. The event that sparked World War 1 was the assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand, heir to the Austria-Hungarian Empire's throne. Executed by Bosnia assassin Gavrilo Princip.

            The United States of America didn't even want to be involved in the war. They had plans to be neutral. However the United States of America was dragged into World War 1 due to two events. One event was the sinking of British boat Lusitania. Germany had somehow found out that there was a British ship that was passing by that ended up being filled with weapons. Germany was not about to risk being killed so they sunk the Lusitania. The Lusitania was filled with about 1200 British citizens and 128 Americans. That made America angry. Another event was the Zimmerman Telegram. Germany made an attempt to send a telegram to Mexico in order to bribe them. The telegram reported that if Mexico sided with Germany so that they will be victorious in the war then in return Germany will restore the land that  the United States of America abducted from Mexico. There messenger was caught by an American spy and when America found out about this they became furious. There were no more chances and on April 6, 1917 America declared war on Germany.

               When we reached the end of the war there was a peace settlement so that both sides would have a mutual agreement. Our passed President Woodrow Wilson created the fourteen points. He referred to the fourteen points as America's war aims. One of the major points was that each nationality should require its own county. The fourteen points also called for freedom of the seas and an end to dealings between countries that were in secrecy. President Woodrow Wilson also made a suggestion that a League of Nations be put into creation to peacefully settle any future mishaps between between countries. The fourteen points were established in 1918. The Treaty of Versailles was what ended the war. This settlement made Germany pay a huge penalty for starting the war and divided the Austro-Hungarian empire into smaller national states. The treaty was somewhat harsh on our opponents. The Treaty also stated that a League of Nations be made. However the United States did not join and that was how they returned to isolationism. I think the peace treaty caused an even bigger rift in the relationship between our countries. In the 1920's and 1930's I feel that World War 2 was a result of the Peace Treaty Settlement. I wouldn't have been happy if there was a peace settlement that was only making me suffer and only had me be penalized and not my opponent.

               The Meat Inspection Act was passed in 1906. This law did seek to address an economic or social problem in the United States. How it did was because if this law was not established in 1906 many people today would just be cooking food anyhow not caring who lives or dies by their food and not knowing whether the food they're serving is well cooked or not. If a tasty delicious quarter pounder patty fell on the floor without this law, the cook would just slab it on the bun, add the extra toppings and serve it to the customer. They probably won't even wipe off the dirt. This is an economic problem because many people can and will die because of one chef's reckless mistake. This became a social problem when Upton Sinclair published his book "The Jungle." This book uncovered the dirty secrets of the kitchens in most restaurants back in the days. You can buy it today if you like in stores. The intent of this law was to search each and every one of the pieces of meat before it was thrown on to the grill cooked with some infectious diseases and spread to a humans body system and harboring their blood stream. Basically to make sure the meat was clean and safe through thorough checkups. The extent in which the law succeeded was when we started realizing that this is not funny people's lives are being taken by this so it has to stop now.

              The Pure Food and Drug Act was also passed in 1906. This law as well as the Meat Inspection act sought to address an economic or social problem in the United Sates. The way it did that was because many citizens would be eating their food without any clue who prepared it and how they prepared it. The untold and undiscovered secrets were brought out as if they were a rude awakening to many people. It was through a book named "The Jungle" bye Upton Sinclair. However this law wasn't put into recognition until Indiana senator Albert Beveridge brought "The Jungle" to Theodore Roosevelt. President Roosevelt was not happy with the unsavory meat and uncleanliness of the factories in which it was prepared. That was both the build up of the economic and social problems in the United States. The intent of this law was for the creation of indescribable diseases and the sales of dirty meat to be ceased or put to end. The extent to which the law succeeded in addressing the problem was when they brought the book to the eyes of President Teddy Roosevelt, that was when it could no longer go on.

              Both The Pure Food and Drug Act and The Meat Inspection Act sought to address the same economic and social problem. The social problem was the "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair. That book brought about many social issues between one citizen and another. The economic problems happened when people were going to more than enough funerals and hospitals. Due to the nasty meat many citizens were falling ill and passing away. Both of these laws fought to destroy the same thing. Meat drenched in filth. Now the meat are on constant watch by the (FDA). The Food and Drug Administration is what FDA stands for.

A Splendid Little War

           I do think that newspapers and television can create wars. Not all peple watch what they write or say. They don't think before they act which can someday get somebody upset. They might also expose secrets that seriously should've been kept secret. Many people tend to get frustrated when their business becomes shared out in the open for everyone to see, hear and comment about. Unless it's good news which hardly ever gets brought up or spoken about especially on talk shows, TMZ or on interviews. Most things published on the newspaper and looked upon by millions of eyes and spoken on T.V. heard by millions of ears  just bring up the dreadful past that many people try so hard to overcome. Next thing they know it just gets spread out in the world, in fine print, there for everyone to see and hear.

           I do believe that since America won the war that the Europeans should respect them more. For the fact that we won and you didn't. That gives the U.S.A. loads of pride and a higher priority to the British. Whatever rules the U.S. make without a doubt Europe shouldn't even have a hunch to double cross them or go against their wishes.                    

Tsunami Strikes On Japan

In Japan they are currently scanning babies, toddlers, kids, teenagers,

young adults, adults and elders to see if the radiation from the plant has tapped into their bodies. If it did it will disrupt their bodily functions and cause abnormal dysfunctions which won't turn out to be a pretty sight. There are parents who have safely passed the scanning and are all clear and are worried about their children. Some parents cannot handle the pressure. Most can't even handle the truth but whether they like it or not the truth is what they will have to face sooner or later. Many Japanese citizens are making an attempt to flee from Japan due to the fact that the radiation is spreading into many people's systems. They don't want the radiation to harbor in their bodies and they don't want their lives to be in danger. However it is most difficult to enter or leave out of Japan because of the calamity that occurred on the 11th of March in 2011, but many people are leaving anyway, so prepare to see loads of Japanese people in the U.S.A. They are all traveling by the help of Tokyo's Narita Airport and Mar Haneda's International Airport.

                     The way that they are handling the situation involving the tsunami and the earthquake is by letting all of the citizens in America be assured that the radiation will not be able to reach the east of the U.S.A. One reason why is because the length is too far there is no possible way for the radiation to stretch for thousands of miles that's for sure. However due to the wind from the disasters that occurred there is a slight possibility that the radiation will reach the west of the U.S.A. The Environmental Protection Agency is predicting that the radiation might reach Southern California. Although they are positive that nothing will reach the east of the U.S.A. The Japanese military forces made sure that they dropped sea water on the top of the tsunami so that the calamity won't be as apocalyptic. The Japanese military forces are still dropping sea water on to the location of the tsunami so that the force will calm down and the winds will settle. So far over 7,200 people have been killed so said the news reporter on channel 1 if you have Time Warner Cable and channel 8 if you have Cablevision.

Radioactive Nuclear Plant

                                The radioactive nuclear power plant is not making the lives of the

Japanese citizens better but so much worse. Many of the Japanese have been diagnosed with radiation or have catched the radiation by default. The radiation has entered the body systems of many Japanese human beings. Some are saying that the reason why the plant released radioactivity is because at the reactor site the plant had high levels of radiation that were not only unpredictable but also unsafe. The Japanese must be very meticulous when handling the radioactivity because one slight change in weather condition can cause the plant to react. Yesterday the levels of radiation had lowered. The people are safe for now. That is all for today I hope you enjoyed it!

W.E.B. Du Bois VS. Booker T. Washington

W.E.B. Du Bois

               The cause that W.E.B. Du Bois worked for very hard for was for African Americans to have equal rights no matter what. In order for him to do that he founded the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People). W.E.B. DuBois formed it so that all colored people would be able to gain equality both legal and economic. W.E.B. DuBois' perspective on how to achieve his goal was that he would get a group of African Americans as a response to the Jim Crow Laws. it was telling the creators of the Jim crow Laws and the members of the Ku Klux Klan that we are not just going to sit back and let you take over no we're going to fight and fight better than we've ever fought before! The only difference between both Du Bois and Washington was that one wanted to show that African Americans should have equal rights through their knowledge (Booker T.) and the other wanted to prove African Americans are better through their knowledge as well but not only ordinary rights as a citizen, he wanted African Americans to have rights both legal, economic and citizen required.

                                The cause that Booker T. Washington was worked for was to provide equality for African Americans through knowledge. He used that way so that all people who prejudice other colored people will see that they should stop and that colored people's knowledge are just as top notch as yours are. To prove this to those of an offensive nature Booker T. Washington founded the Tuskegee Institute. This school is now referred to the Tuskegee University and it resides in Alabama. In the mid-1900s the Tuskegee Institute was just a school for black children but over the years it became a college and its main purpose was just for equality to be spread throughout the nations. it could've been through kindness, meekness, humbleness, forgiveness but a better way was to show Caucasian Americans that African Americans shouldn't be treated any different because their level of knowledge if not higher is just as good as yours basically.
